We are just 2 months away from Velo-City 2016 in Taipei, and are excited to be unveiling the second edition of our Worldwide Cycling Index. This index measures the overall progression of total bicycle traffic by country.
Send us your bicycle count data before January 10th to make sure your city will make it into the Index!
Last year, we created the 2015 Worldwide Cycling Index, sourcing data from hundreds of counters found in the Eco-Visio database, the biggest bicycle count database in the world.
This Index has allowed us to analyze the evolution of bicycle usage between 2013 and 2014 in over 20 different countries. In an effort to make the 2016 edition even more comprehensive, we have decided to integrate external sources into the Index.
Do you have count data collected with systems other than Eco-Counter? Share it with us to build a broader Index! Please send it to us in Excel format, so we can include it in the 2016 Worldwide Cycling Index. Your contribution will help create a more complete picture of cycling progress worldwide.
Please note: For the analysis, it is important to send at least 6 months of data for one counting point between 2014 and 2015. Please send data in hourly timeslots. Data must be displayed in the following format.
