We are very proud to organize our first ever EcoCounter International Awards in partnership with VeloCity 2015 which will take place in Nantes on June, 1st.
This event will give audience to our most interesting counting projects. Those projects are all unique in helping develop active transportation worldwide. And what better place for this ceremony than Velo-City, the essential event for international cycling policy experts?
This event will take place on the 2nd of June. Three projects will be nominated in six different categories. Categories are as follow:
1. Communication Award
2. Monitoring Award
3. Research Award
4. Nationwide Data Collection Award
5. Professional of the Year
6. Special Award

is it possible to get some more info about the different categories?
– Are these awards only for bicycle counting projects or also about walking?
– Is it possible to nominate older installs? (2013?)
Hi,
Thanks for your request ! For now we are focusing on bicycle counting projects as it is happening at Velo-City. We might do it differently next year, but that was our focus for this first edition.
It is surely possible to nominate older installs, however we will pay particular attention to recent change or evolution of counting projects during the current year, because it is made to be an annual event.
